WACO, Texas - Coming off a weekend where Baylor split with a loss to Fresno State and a win over SMU, the No. 5 Baylor equestrian team continues its road trip Friday to compete against No. 7 Kansas State. The meet also resumes Big 12 competition for the Lady Bears and is scheduled for a 10 a.m. at the Timbercreek Stables.

"The girls have been practicing hard. These are very important meets to us. This is going to determine whether or not we go into a top four seed at the National Championship," Baylor head coach Ellen White said. "Our season has been weak in winning meets away from home. The next two meets on the road with KSU and [Oklahoma State] are important for us as we try to get a top four seed in the national meet."

Friday and Saturday the then No. 2-ranked Bears fell to Fresno State 8-7 but bounced back defeated SMU 13-3 on Saturday moving Baylor's record to 8-3 on the season.

Kansas State is in a similar situation with its four-meet winning streak snapped Feb. 15 with a 13-6 loss to No. 4 Oklahoma State. This will be the first home meet for the Wildcats this season.

The last time the two teams competed against one another was in Oct. 15 when the Bears defeated the Wildcats 15-5 in Waco knocking them from their No. 4 ranking.
