The Baylor equestrian team (9-5) will begin Big 12 Championship play on Friday, taking on host Oklahoma State (9-4) beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Animal Science Arena in Stillwater, Okla.

"The girls are looking great and I think we are peeking at the right time," head coach Ellen White said. "I am expecting great things this weekend."

The Bears enter the tournament as the No. 4 seed overall, as Oklahoma State earned the No. 1, followed by TCU (No. 2) and Kansas State (No. 3).

Baylor is 4-4 all-time at the Big 12 Championship, including hoisting the 2010 title after a win over Texas A&M. The school hosting the event has won three of the four Championships, with the streak breaking last season as the Cowgirls took home the title in Manhattan, Kan.

Both matches will begin simultaneously at 10 a.m. starting with Fences and Horsemanship. Flat and Reining are set to begin at 12:30 p.m. The winner of BU/OSU will take on the winner of KSU/TCU for the Big 12 title, while the losers will face off in a consolation match starting at 10 am Saturday.
