The Baylor equestrian team (3-0) will hit the road for a pair of conference competitions, facing Kansas State (1-0) on Friday at 10:00 a.m. and Oklahoma State (1-0) on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. This will mark the third straight season the Bears have opened conference play against the Wildcats.
"This is our first road challenge of the season, so we are need to be ready," head coach Ellen White said. "We competed well in the opening weekend and are looking to take that momentum up north."
The Bears are coming off their fourth-consecutive Willis Invitational title, which was won on Oct. 1 in Waco.
Kansas State knocked off Division II foe Minnesota-Crookston 19-0 two weeks ago to open competition. Baylor went 2-1 against KSU last season, losing in Manhattan on point differential.
The Cowgirls are coming off a 9-1 win over SMU in Hunter Seat. The two schools split the regular season in 2011, each winning on its home turf, before OSU defeated the Bears in the first round of the Big 12 Championship.
