Baylor's equestrian team will host the Baylor Invitational, a four-team round robin competition, on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 25 and 26 at the Willis Family Equestrian Center.
Joining the Bears in the competition are Delaware State, Stephen F. Austin and TCU. Competition begins at 12 p.m. on Friday and 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
In first round action on Friday, Baylor will take on TCU while Stephen F. Austin will compete against Delaware State. The second round will pit Baylor against Stephen F. Austin and TCU will match up against Delaware State. In the final round, which should begin at approximately 1 p.m. on Saturday, Baylor rides against Delaware State and TCU and Stephen F. Austin square off.
"Baylor does such a good job of hosting events that I thought this would be a good opportunity for other teams and fans to see our outstanding facility and some great competition. All four programs are very young, it's our third year and Stephen F. Austin's as well, TCU's second season and Delaware State's inaugural season. We encourage people to come out and watch the competition," said head coach Ellen White.
No admission is charged and the event is open to the public.
The Willis Family Equestrian Center is located on University Parks Drive, approximately one mile past Baylor's Ferrell Center.
