Equestrian Hosts Oklahoma State Cowgirls

Nov. 3, 2006

WACO, Texas - Baylor's equestrian team welcomes Oklahoma State Sat., Nov. 4, to the Willis Family Equestrian Center for a head-to-head conference show at 10:00 a.m. The show will be the Cowgirls' first trip to Waco after defeating the Bears two weeks ago in Stillwater, Okla.

The Bears took two weeks off prior to tomorrow's show and last weekend dedicated the program's new facility. The Willis Family Equestrian Center is Baylor's newest athletic facility and serves as the primary facility for the equestrian team.

Baylor enters Saturday's show coming off of a 17-7 defeat to Oklahoma State in October. Baylor scored only three English points, two in Fences and one in Flat, and four Western points, all earned in Reining.

Baylor currently holds a 2-2 head-to-head show and the Bears are 1-1 against conference foes.

Saturday's show will begin at 10:00 a.m. and will include English events, Equitation over Fences and Equitation on the Flat, and Western events, Horsemanship and Reining.

Results for the event will be posted at
