Burke in Third at Lady Puerto Rico Classic

First Round Results in PDF Format RIO GRANDE, P.R. – Baylor women’s golf senior Hannah Burke is in third place firing a first-round 3-under 69 Sunday at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic. Burke is three strokes behind the leader, Purdue’s Thea Hoffmeister, who shot a first-round 6-under 66. Alabama’s Jennifer Kirby is in second at 5-under 67. Baylor is in a three-way tie for ninth with Oklahoma at Northwestern at 18-over 306. Georgia holds a three-shot lead at 4-over 292. Alabama is in second at 7-over, followed by host Purdue in third at 8-over. Kent State (11-over) and Oklahoma State (12-over) round out the top five in fourth and fifth place, respectively. Sophomore Chelsey Cothran shot a first-round 4-over 76 to finish the day tied for 26th overall. Lene Hafsten-Morch is tied for 50th at 7-over 79, while Jaclyn Jansen shot 10-over 82 to finish Sunday tied for 73rd. Morgan Chambers withdrew prior to the start of the first round.
