Burke Holds One-Shot Lead at Lady Puerto Rico

Second Round Results in PDF Format RIO GRANDE, P.R. - Baylor women's golf senior Hannah Burke carded her second straight round of 3-under 69 to take one-shot lead Monday through two rounds of the Lady Puerto Rico Classic. Burke, who stands at 6-under 138 after 36 holes, shot the second-lowest round of the day to overtake first-round leader Thea Hoffmeister from Purdue. Hoffmeister, Oklahoma State's Caroline Hedwall and Georgia's Marta Silva are all tied for second at 5-under 139. Hedwall posted Monday's low score with a 7-under 65. Alabama leads the field by five strokes at 6-over 582 after shooting 1-under 287 as a team Monday. Georgia is in second place at 11-over 587, followed by Oklahoma State (12-over 588), host Purdue (15-over 591) and Kent State (24-over 600). The Baylor Lady Bears remain in ninth place overall at 28-over 604 after posting a team score of 298 Monday. Burke is the only golfer to post a pair of rounds in the 60s so far in Puerto Rico. Chelsey Cothran shot a 1-over 73 to move up to 20th place at 5-over 149. Lene Hafsten-Morch is tied for 57th overall at 14-over 158 after shooting a second-round 79. Jaclyn Jansen shot a 5-over 77 to finish tied for 63rd at 15-over 159.
