Women's Golf in 12th at Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational

AUSTIN, Texas - The Baylor women's golf team shot an opening round 317 and is in 12th after the first day of competition Friday at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational at the 6,323, par-72 University of Texas Golf Course.

Freshman Hannah Burke (Hertfordshire, England) leads the Bears for the first time this season after firing an opening round 2-over par 74 to tie for fifth. Senior Allison Martin (Bakersfield, Calif.) followed closely shooting a 3-over par 75 to finish the day tied for seventh.

Senior Anna Rehnholm (Karlskrona, Sweden) and junior Sian Reddick (Folkestone, England) both shot an opening round 84 to tie for 73rd while freshman Natalie Hocott (San Antonio, Texas) finished the day in 86th after a first round 91. Freshman Kristen Hendrix (Houston, Texas) is playing as an individual and shot an 85 to tie for 77th.

Texas carded a 303 to lead the overall team standings by three strokes over TCU and Arkansas. Texas' Kelley Louth fired an opening round 69 to lead the individual standings by only one stroke over Arkansas' Lucy Nunn.
