Women's Golf Still Tied for 3rd at Big 12 Championships

AUSTIN, Texas - Baylor shot a 314 in the second round and remain in a tie for third after Saturday's action at the 2005 Big 12 Women's Golf Championships at the 6,323-yard, par-72 University of Texas Golf Club.

Junior Josefin Svenningsson (Gislaved, Sweden) shot her second straight round of 77 and is tied for 12th at 154. Sophomore Anna Rehnholm (Karlskrona, Sweden) is also tied for 12th, shooting a 78.

Junior Meredith Jones (Eugene, Ore.) is tied for 18th at 155 after a second-round 80. Freshman Sian Reddick (Folkestone, England) is tied for 23rd at 156 with a 79, while junior Sherry Summers (Montgomery, Texas) is 42nd at 161.

Oklahoma State continues to lead the team standings at 602, but only by a stroke over Texas (603). The Bears are tied with Missouri at 619, while Texas A&M rounds out the top five at 626. OSU's Annie Thurman-Young is running away with the individual title, leading by seven strokes at 3-under par 141. Texas' Perry Swenson is second at 4-over par 148, while Texas' Lisa Ferrero and Maria Ohlsson are tied for third at 6-over par 150.

The tournament concludes with the third round Sunday beginning at 8 a.m.
