LUBBOCK, Texas - The Baylor women's golf team maintained the 10th place spot at the Big 12 Championships, carding a second-round 313 Saturday afternoon at the Rawls Course in Lubbock, Texas.
Oklahoma State still holds the overall team lead, but Texas A&M pulled within six strokes after a 299 during round two. Oklahoma State's Caroline Hedwall and A&M's Ashley Freeman are tied for the individual lead at 1-under, 145 headed into Sunday's final round of play.
With a two-day total of 635 (322-315), Baylor is six shots back of Texas and Nebraska who are tied for eighth place.
Jordan Rhodes continues to pace the Baylor, tallying the lowest round by a Lady Bear for the second consecutive day. Rhodes, a sophomore from San Antonio, Texas, posted a 4-over, 77 Saturday to sit in a six-way tie for 18th individually.
Sophomore Morgan Chambers rebounded from a 10-over, 83 during Friday's first round, to card a 5-over, 78 during the second round of the Big 12 Championships. Chambers, at 161 for the two days, is tied for 41st place.
Hannah Burke, Lene Hafsten-Morch and Chelsey Cothran all posted second-round scores of 6-over, 79 on Saturday. Burke, a junior from Hertfordshire, England, is tied for 35th over, while Hafsten-Morch and Cothran are 38th and 41st respectively.
The Lady Bears will tee off the third and final round of the Big 12 Championships Sunday morning at 8:50 a.m. Final round results can be followed live on GolfStat.com.
