LINCOLN, Neb. - The Baylor Bears women's golf team will have to wait to begin play at the NCAA Central Regional. Heavy rain Wednesday night and this morning have washed out the opening round of play at the par 71, 6,762-yard Firethorn Golf Club in Lincoln, Neb. A modified schedule will be played on Friday and Saturday to make up for today's postponement.
The Bears and 20 other teams will begin regional play with a shotgun start Friday morning. A second round is scheduled to follow on Friday. Saturday's action will return to the traditional split-tee format.
The Baylor team has been idle since placing seventh at the Big 12 Championships (321-312-313=946) April 21-23.
