Fort Collins, Colo.- The Baylor women's golf team fired a final round 295 to earn a seventh place finish at the Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic Tuesday afternoon in Fort Collins, Colo.

Combined with a 292 during the first and second rounds on Monday, the Bears finished with an 879 stroke total over the 36-hole tournament.

Hannah Burke and Morgan Chambers finished tied for 15th overall with a three-day total of 216. Burke, a junior from Hertfordshire, England, recorded a team-low one-under 71 during the final round. Chambers, who was tied for seventh heading into the final 18 holes, finished with a four-over 76.

Lene Hafsten-Morch was just one shot behind Burke and Chambers as the sophomore from Billingstad, Norway, wrapped up the two-day tournament with an even-par 72.

It was the first time Baylor has had three golfers amongst the top 20 since the 2006-07 when four Bears tallied top 20 finishes at the Big 12 Tournament.

Natalie Hocott and Jaclyn Jansen both tallied a third round 76 after a shaky second round on Monday. Jansen finished with a three-day total of 233, while Hocott finished tied for 72nd place overall (75-83-76).

"I saw a lot of good things happening, especially considering it was our first tournament of the season," said head coach Sylvia Ferdon. "I just wanted to come out and be competitive. We placed three girls in the top 20, so we definitely accomplished what we set out to do."

Baylor will be back in action Sept. 22 as the Bears head back to Colorado to compete in the Ron Moore Invitational in Littleton, Colo.
