Women's Golf 12th After Round One in New Mexico

Albuquerque, N.M. - Baylor's women's golf team is currently in the12th place slot out of 19 teams at the Comcast/Dick McGuire Invitational with a team score of 316.

The Bears are led by senior Melanie Hagewood and junior Michaelyn Morgan who both shot a first round 77, leaving them tied for 33rd place.

Senior Hanna-Sofia Svenningsson is currently tied for 52nd place with an opening round of 80. Josefin Svenningsson and Erin Bradford, both freshmen, shot an 82 and are tied for 75th place. Junior Kelli McKandless shot an 83 leaving her in 80th place.

The University of New Mexico currently holds first place, NMSU at second place, University of Washington in third place, and University of Oklahoma at fourth place.

The Bears are set to play round two on Friday and round three on Saturday.
