Photo Gallery LAS CRUCES, N.M. - Under windy and rain-soaked conditions, the Baylor women's golf team tallied a second round 304 at the Price's "Give `Em Five" Invitational in Las Cruces, N.M. on Tuesday. Baylor currently holds third place, six shots back of leader UC Irvine, heading into the final round of play on Wednesday. "Considering the conditions, I'm proud of the score we posted today. The wind and rain really made us work for every shot," said head coach Sylvia Ferdon. "We've got a lot of golf still to be played. We're in the last group tomorrow, so we just need to play how we're capable of playing and we'll have a shot to win it." Much like the first round of play, Hannah Burke led the way for Baylor on Tuesday. Burke carded a second round 74 to sit in a two-way tie for third place. The junior from Hertfordshire, England, is looking to record her second straight top-five finish. "I'm not too worried on where I stand individually. I'd much rather take home a team title than an individual one," Burke said. "I think we all feel like we missed a shot or two out there today, but if we're able to put it all together tomorrow, I think we'll be in good shape." After shooting an opening round 6-over on Monday, Morgan Chambers and Natalie Hocott both tallied a 3-over 75 during play Tuesday. Chambers and Hocott are currently tied for 24th place overall. Following an even-par on the front nine, freshman Jaclyn Jansen closed out play on Tuesday with a 44 on the back to tally a 8-over 80. Lene Hafsten-Morch rounded out play for the Bears on Tuesday with an 83. Baylor will tee off Wednesday at 8 a.m. MDT with hopes of winning its first tournament of the season.
