Women's Golf Travels to Palos Verdes

Freshman Lauren Taylor has finished in the top-5 individually in three consecutive tournaments.

WACO, Texas - Baylor's 23rd-ranked women's golf team travels to Los Angeles to compete in the Northrop Grumman Invitational, which runs Monday through Wednesday at the Palos Verdes Golf Club.

The three-day, 54-hole event is hosted by Ohio State University at the par-71, 6,017-yard course. Teams will play 18 holes each day, and live scoring will be available at

Baylor's lineup is led by freshman Lauren Taylor, who took third place individually while guiding the Lady Bears to a tournament win at last week's Hurricane Invitational. Sophomore Emma Carberry is in the No. 2 spot after recording her best career finish with a tie for fourth place at the Hurricane Invitational.

Sophomore All-American Hayley Davis and freshmen Laura Lonardi and Natalia Perez complete the Baylor lineup. Lonardi joined the Baylor program in January and finished tied for 16th while playing as an individual in her first collegiate tournament last week.

Baylor will compete with 15 other teams: tournament-host Ohio State, Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Duke, Florida, Michigan State, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Texas, UCLA, USC, Wake Forest and Washington.
