Hannah Burke looks to improve upon her 2007 third place finish

Women's golf returns to action Monday, as they participate in the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational at the University of Texas Golf Club in Austin, Texas.

 

The Bears last competed at the Texas A&M "Mo" Morial Invitational where the team finished eleventh and sophomore Hannah Burke tied for fifth overall.

 

Baylor finished third in the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational last season. Burke had the Bears' best individual finish with a third place effort at of 220 (74-73-73). Former senior Allison Martin also turned in a sixth place finish.

 


 

 

The 2008 17-team field includes: Arkansas, Florida, Indiana, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, SMU, TCU, Texas, and Wisconsin.

 

Burke will be joined by last year's participants Natalie Hocott and Kristen Hendrix in addition to freshmen Morgan Chambers and Lene Hafsten-Morch

 

The tournament begins Monday and runs through Wednesday; all the action can be followed live online at GolfStat.com.
