BOERNE, Texas - The Baylor women's golf team will host the BU-Tapatio Springs Intercollegiate Shootout Thursday through Saturday at the Tapatio Springs Golf Resort.

The 6,007-yard, par-72 Tapatio Springs Golf Resort will once again serve as the site of the tournament, this year featuring five teams ranked among Golfstat's Top 50. Baylor has hosted the Tapatio Springs Shootout every year since 2001. The Bears placed fourth last year and tied for third in 2003.

The Bears are looking to improve this week after a 12th-place finish at the Besty Rawls Longhorn Invitational in Austin, Texas March 11-12. Junior Josefine Svenninsson led the Bears, tying for 42nd (80-82-79=241).

BAYLOR LINEUP
Meredith Jones [Junior]: Tied for 53rd at the Besty Rawls Longhorn Invitational (79-79-85=243)..Finished tied for 12th at the Central District Classic shooting straight 74 for a 222 to finish...Competed in all five fall events, posting a pair of top-10 finishes...Second on the team with a 76.23 scoring average...Had her best finish at the Dick McGuire Invitational, tying for seventh and shooting a 219 (71-78-70)...Set a new career low with her final-round 70...Tied for eighth with three teammates at the Ross Resorts Invitational, shooting 235 (78-76-81)...Tied for 14th with a 150 (74-76) to help lead the Bears to a team victory at the Aztec Fall Invitational...Tied for 36th at the the Jeannine McHaney Invitational with a 154 (73-81)...Tied for 33rd at the Price's "Give `Em Five" Intercollegiate with a 223 (76-78-79)...Made the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll.

Sian Reddick [Freshman]: Tied for 56th at the Longhorn Invitational shooting 81-83-80=244...Led the Bears by tying for fourth place at the Central District Classic...Competed in all five fall tournaments...Led the Bears at the Aztec Fall Invitational by finishing second with a 141 (70-71)...Tied with three other Bears for eighth place at the Ross Resorts Invitational with a 235 (80-78-77)...Shot a 226 (75-73-78) at the Dick McGuire Invitational...Finished 10th at the Price's "Give Em Five" Intercollegiate, shooting 226 (75-72-79)...Tied for 47th with a 155 at the Jeannine McHaney Invitational...Averaged 75.62 strokes per round in 13 rounds, breaking Anna Rehnholm's freshman fall record of 76.50 in 2003.

Anna Rehnholm [Sophomore]: Tied for 66th at the Besty Rawls Invitational (83-79-85=247)...Tied for 19th at the Central District Classic (76-77-72=225)...Led the Bears to a first-place finish at the Ross Resorts Invitational, shooting a 235 (81-75-78) and tying for sixth...Was also a part of the first place finish in the Aztec Fall Invitational, tying for seventh with a score of147 (72-75)...Finsihed tied for 8th at the Price's "Give Em Five" Intercollegiate shooting a 225 (74-76-75)...Competed in the Dick McGuire Invitational and Jeannine McHaney Invitational...Averaged 76.62 strokes per rounds in 13 rounds.

Sherry Summers [Junior]: Tied for 78th at the Longhorn Invitational shooting 87-85-78=250...Tied for 50th at the Central District Classic (81-74-80= 235)...Competed in all five tournaments...Tied with three other Bears for eighth place at the Ross Resorts Invitational with a 235 (77-78-80)...Tied for 23rd and helped the Bears claim the team title at the Aztec Fall Invitational at 152 (75-77)...Shot a 233 (78-78-77) at the Price's "Give Em Five" Intercollegiate, tying for 33rd...Finished with a 160 (78-82) at the Jeannine McHaney Invitational...Tied for 65th at the Dick McGuire Invitational with a 236 (78-80-78)...Was also awarded the 2004 Golden Bear Award.

Josefin Svenningsson [Junior]: Led the Bears at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational, tying for 46th(80-82-79=241)...Finished the Central District Classic tied for 36th shooting a 230 ( 77-75-78)...Traveled to all five tournaments in the fall...Best finish came at the Price's "Give Em Five" Intercollegiate, tying for fourth with a 222 (73-73-76)...Tied for eighth at the Ross Resorts Invitational, shooting 235 (80-76-79)...Tied for 26th at the Dick McGuire Invitational, shooting a 226 (76-76-74)... Shot a 155 (75-80) at the Aztec Fall Invitational, tying for 32nd...Tied for 36th at the Jeannine McHaney Invitational, shooting 154 (78-76).

Baylor at the Tapatio Springs Intercollegiate Shootout
Baylor has competed in the Tapatio Springs Shootout every year since 2001...Last season the Bears finished fourth (303-304-319=926), their best showing at the tournament was in 2002 when they took second place at the tournament shooting a 614.

Looking Ahead
Baylor will travel to Norman Oklahoma to compete in the Susie Maxwell-Berning Golf Classic at the Jimmie Austin OU Golf Course ...Last apperance at the tournament was in 2004 when the Bears finished third.
