WACO, Texas - The 27th-ranked Baylor women's golf team is traveling to Oxford, Miss., to compete in the 2013 M&F Bank Rebel Intercollegiate, which runs Friday through Sunday.
The three-day, 54-hole event is hosted by the University of Mississippi at the Ole Miss Golf Course. Tee times for Friday and Saturday begin at 7:51 a.m. CT, and Sunday's championship round is scheduled for an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
Baylor's lineup is led by sophomore Hayley Davis in the No. 1 slot, sophomore Emma Carberry in the No. 2 spot. Freshmen Lauren Taylor, Laura Lonardi and Annette Lyche round out the five-member team, and fellow freshman Natalia Perez will be competing as an individual.
Along with tournament host Ole Miss, the Lady Bears will also compete against Coastal Carolina, East Tennessee State, Furman, Harvard, Kentucky, No. 25 LSU, Memphis, Minnesota, Mississippi State, Missouri, Murray State, Redlands CC, Southern Miss, Troy, No. 20 Tulane and Tulsa.
The Lady Bears are coming off of a second-place finish in a triangular match hosted by Texas on Sunday. Davis led Baylor and finished third overall at 6-over-par. Lyche and Taylor finished two strokes behind Davis.
