Women's Golf In 11th At Susie Maxwell Berning Classic

Norman, Okla. - The Baylor women's golf team finished day one at the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic in eleventh place at the 6,013 yard, par-72 Trails Golf Club in Norman Okla.

Junior Allison Martin leads the Bears tied for 11th at 147 shooting a 74 in the first round and a 73 in the second.

Junior Anna Rehnholm opened with a 76, but shot a 78 in her second round and is tied for 44th at 154. Senior Meredith Jones shot a 75 in her second round after shooting an 83 in the first to finish tied for 60th at 158. Senior Josefin Svenningsson is tied for 69th at 160 after opening with a 77 and shooting an 83 her second round. Sophomore Sian Reddick withdrew after shooting a 76 her first round.

Oklahoma State shot a 567 to lead the team competition by 29 strokes over SMU and Texas, 30 strokes over Nebraska and 36 strokes over Kansas State.

Oklahoma State's Pernilla Lindberg leads the individual competition at 140, one stroke over Oklahoma State's Karin Kinnerud. Oklahoma State's Jennifer Karr and Nebraska's Stephanie Ruiz tied for third at 143.

The tournament continues with the final round Monday.
