Junior Allison Martin ties for 10th to lead the Bears

Norman, Okla. - The Baylor women's golf team finished eleventh with a total of 924 at the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic at the 6,013-yard, par-72 Trails Golf Club.

Junior Allison Martin (Bakersfield, Calif.) tied for 10th at 223 to lead the Bears after opening with a 74, and shooting a 73 in the second round before shooting a final round of 76.

Junior Anna Rehnholm (Karlskrona, Sweden) opened with a 76, but shot a 78 the second round, before shooting a 76 in the final round to tie for 28th at 230. Senior Meredith Jones (Eugene, Ore.) tied for 61st at 237 (83-75-79) while senior Josefin Svenningsson (Gislaved, Sweden) tied for 73rd, shooting 241 (77-83-81). Sophomore Sian Reddick (Folkestone, England) withdrew after shooting a 76 her first round.

Oklahoma State's Pernilla Lindberg claimed the individual title with a total score of 215, one stroke over Oklahoma State's Karin Kinnerud and three strokes over SMU's Laura Cross.

Oklahoma State claimed the team title shooting a total of 867 to finish ahead SMU (892), Texas (905), Nebraska (906) and Kansas State (911).

The Bears compete next at the Big 12 Championship April 17-19 at the Lincoln County Club in Lincoln, Neb.
