WACO, Texas - The No. 19-ranked Baylor women's golf team was awarded the No. 7 seed in the NCAA West Regional during the NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championship selection show on Monday night.

Baylor earned its second NCAA Regional bid in as many years under head coach Jay Goble, and the program will be making its 12th all-time NCAA Regional appearance - all in the last 14 seasons.

The 54-hole regional tournament will be hosted by Stanford and held at the par-71, 6,051-yard Stanford Golf Course in Stanford, Calif. The top eight teams and the two lowest-scoring individuals not on advancing teams will move on to the 32nd-annual NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championship in Athens, Ga.

"I love California, and I could not be happier to take the team to Stanford next week," Goble said. "It's a great golf course and one I know will really suit our players. We are playing very well over the past couple of weeks, and we are still working hard to have a great finish to our year."

Baylor is one of seven top-20 ranked teams in the West Regional. The Lady Bears are joined by No. 1 Southern California, No. 6 Arizona, No. 7 Vanderbilt, No. 13 Stanford, No. 15 Purdue and No. 16 Georgia.

Other teams in the West Regional include: No. 27 Texas A&M, No. 25 Pepperdine, No. 30 LSU, No. 32 Denver, No. 37 South Carolina, No. 36 Ohio State, No. 40 Oregon, No. 43 UNLV, No. 47 California, No. 48 Florida State, Miami (Fla.), San Jose State, Harvard, Kent State, Northern Arizona, North Dakota State and Long Island.
