Women's Golf Heads to NCAA Central Regional

WACO, Texas - Baylor's women's golf team travels to Lincoln, Neb., May 8-10 to participate in the NCAA Central Regional. The tournament is hosted by the University of Nebraska. The Firethorn Golf Course is a par 71, 6,762-yard course.

Bears traveling to the event include seniors Melanie Hagewood and Hanna-Sofia Svenningsson; juniors Kelli McKandless and Michaelyn Morgan; and freshman Josefin Svenningsson.

Baylor makes its third-straight Central Regional appearance and its fourth appearance overall. Other teams participating include California, Texas, Florida, Tennessee, New Mexico, Tulsa, Purdue, Oklahoma, Missouri, TCU, Kent State, Michigan State, Arkansas, Texas A&M, Indiana, Wisconsin, Kansas State, Nebraska, Yale and Southern University.

The Bears are coming off a seventh-place finish at the 2003 Big 12 Championships. Baylor is currently ranked 29th in the nation.
