The Baylor women's golf team travels to its eighth-straight NCAA Central Regional Championships May 10-12 hosted by the University of Michigan Golf Club in Ann Arbor, Mich. The Bears enter as the selection's eighth seed, the highest seeding under current head coach Sylvia Ferdon.

Last year the Bears finished 14th at the Central Regional held at the Traditions Club in Bryan, Texas. The best BU individual score was posted by Anna Rehnholm who finished tied for 44th shooting 17 over par.

The last Baylor program to advance to Nationals was the 2004 team, which finished tied for 19th.

The Bears enter this year's tournament riding high off of a third-place finish at the Big 12 Championship, which Baylor hosted at Ridgewood Country Club. Freshman Hannah Burke tied for eighth (77-77-76=230) as the highest placing Bear.

Natalie Hocott [Freshman]: Finished t-15th at Big 12 Championship...Competed in all five spring tournaments...Shot a 233 (80-78-75) at the Susie Maxwell-Berning classic to tie for 64th...Tied for 53rd at Central District Invitational with a score of 236 (79-79-78)...Tied for 40th to help lead the Bears to a win at the Rio Verde Invitational with a score of 231 (76-77-78)...Shot a three- round total 248 (91-81-76) to tie for 71st at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational...Tied for 47th at the Mountainview Collegiate posting a 224 (74-73-77)...Competed in three tournaments including a low round of 70 in first collegiate action at the Ptarmigan/Ram Classic...Finished the tournament at 17th (70-74-76=220)...Also played in the Ron Moore Invitational and Wolverine Invitational.

Allison Martin [Senior]: Named to All-Big 12 Team after wrapping up the conference Championship tied for 12th...Enters Regionals with lowest scoring averare for BU, 73.59...Competed in all five spring tournaments and is top on the Bears with a 72.67 spring scoring average... Named Big 12 Women's Golf Player of the Month for March...Tied for 16th at the Susie Maxwell-Berning Classic at 221 (74-73-74)... Finished fourth to lead the Bears at the Central District Invitational with a score of 217 (71-76-70)...Claimed the individual title at the Rio Verde Collegiate Invitational carding a three-round total 212 (69-72-71)...Tied for 6th at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational at 223 (75-77-71)...
