CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - Baylor sophomore women's golfer Hayley Davis was named a second-team All-American by the Women's Golf Coaches Association, the organization announced Wednesday. Davis repeated as a second-team honoree after becoming the first All-American in program history as a freshman in 2012.

A two-time All-Big 12 performer, Davis led the Lady Bears and broke her own single-season program record with a 72.88 scoring average in 33 rounds during the 2012-13 season. She placed in the top 10 individually in eight of 10 tournaments this season, including a win at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate.

"I am so happy for Hayley to have been selected an All-American for the second straight year," head coach Jay Goble said. "She is a model of consistency on the golf course and always represents Baylor well. We are extremely lucky to have her as a teammate."

A Wimborne, England, native, Davis led the Lady Bears in score vs. par (1.27) and had 11 rounds of par or better. She led Baylor to a second-place finish at the Big 12 Championship, placing fourth individually, and a ninth-place finish at the NCAA West Regional.

Davis also finished in second place at the Tar Heel Invitational and Rebel Intercollegiate and tied for fifth place at the Alamo Invitational. She came in ninth place at the Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic, the Dick McGuire Invitational and the Northrup Grumman Invitational.

Davis was one of six Big 12 golfers to earn WGCA All-American honors, joining Oklahoma's Chirapat Jao-Javanil (first team) and AC Tanguay (honorable mention), Texas Tech's Kimberly Kaufman (second team) and Oklahoma State's Kelsey Vines (second team) and Julie Yang (honorable mention).
