SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The 20th-ranked Baylor women’s golf team travels to San Antonio, Texas to compete in the fourth annual Alamo Invitational, which runs Sunday through Tuesday at Briggs Ranch Golf Club.

The three-day, 54-hole event is hosted by UTSA at the par-72, 6,772-yard course. The first Lady Bears tee off at 11:40 a.m. on Sunday, and tee times for the second round begin at 8:30 a.m. Monday. Tuesday’s final round is scheduled for an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.

Baylor’s lineup remains unchanged from the Tar Heel Invitational, where the Lady Bears finished second. Junior Kaylin Terry, sophomores Emma Carberry and Hayley Davis, and freshmen Annette Lyche and Lauren Taylor will compete for Baylor, and Natalia Perez will be competing as an individual. The top four scores from each day will contribute to the team’s final score.

The Lady Bears will compete alongside a strong field including tournament host UTSA, LSU (No. 10), Texas A&M (No. 13), Tennessee (No. 16), Arizona (No. 22), Colorado (No. 23), Oklahoma (No. 25), Texas Tech, Kentucky, Central Florida, Texas State, East Carolina, North Texas and SMU.

Baylor finished second in last year’s Alamo Invitational. Hayley Davis posted a second-place finish and is tied for fourth on the all-time individual low total scoreboard with a total score of 214.

The Lady Bears are coming off a second-place finish at the 2012 Ruth’s Criss Tar Heel Invitational, their second time finishing in the top two in three tournaments this season. Hayley Davis and Lauren Taylor both earned top five individual finishes at second place and tied for fourth place, respectively.
