LINCOLN, Neb. -
Nebraska's Lindsay Eddleman scored a pair of
second-half goals to lead No. 8 Nebraska to a 3-0
win over No. 17 Baylor in Lincoln Sunday.
After Meghan Anderson netted a free kick at the
35:57 mark, Eddleman iced it away with two late
goals. Her header of a corner kick at the 76:53
mark came off Jenny Benson's assist. She scored
the final goal unassisted three minutes later.
The win put Nebraska at 2-0 on the season and in
Big 12 play while the Bears fell to 1-1. Baylor
beat Nebraska 1-0 for the conference championship,
1-0, last year in Waco.
The Huskers led in shots on goal, 27-5, and in
corner kicks, 12-2. BU's Dawn Greathouse,
returning from reconstructive knee surgery,
recorded 13 saves, while NU's Karina LeBlanc
notched two.
Baylor hosts the Bear Invitational in Waco Friday
and Saturday. BU takes on San Diego at 7 p.m.
Friday and TCU at 1 p.m. Sunday.
