LAWRENCE, Kan. - Baylor lost 2-0 at Kansas on Sunday afternoon at Jayhawk Soccer Complex as the Jayhawks (6-8-2, 1-3-1) scored on the Bears (8-5-3, 1-4-1) in each period to claim their first win over BU since 2008.
In the 11th minute, Baylor gave up a counter attack to a streaking Caroline Kastor, who beat Michelle Kloss one-on-one. The Bears countered in the 19th minute with a header goal by Kat Ludlow off a free kick but it was waived off due to Ludlow being ruled offside.
A similar situation happened in the second half as Kastor once again scored, this time in the 77th minute on a turn-around shot from the box from 15 yards out. Ludlow answered with another header goal off a free kick in the 90th minute but she was ruled offside again to nullify the goal.

TWEET OF THE GAME
"It's unfortunate we gave up a counter attack goal early. But we scored two goals right after they scored that were called back on offsides calls. Kat Ludlow had two headers go in off free kicks but was called offside both times. Today was not because of a lack of desire or will. We will keep pushing forward." - BU Co-Head Coach Paul Jobson
Baylor returns home next weekend for a one-match weekend as the Bears face Oklahoma State at 7 p.m. CT on Friday, Oct. 25, in the team's last regular season home game.
