FORT WORTH, Texas - Baylor soccer ended the Big 12 regular season strongly with its second straight win in a 1-0 decision over TCU on Friday evening at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium. The Bears (10-5-3, 3-4-1) improved to a perfect 9-0-0 in the all-time series against TCU (6-9-3, 2-5-1) and take momentum into next week's Big 12 Championship.
After a scoreless first half in which Baylor held edges in shots (6-3) and shots on goals (3-0), the Bears scored in the 54th minute on Bri Campos' sixth goal of the season. Following a TCU foul, Campos was set up with a free kick just outside the 18 yard box and she served up a beautiful, well-placed kick to the back of the net through the top right corner.
From there, the stingy Baylor defense locked down tight the rest of the way as goalie Michelle Kloss never had to make a save in the entire game.
*With Baylor's 10th win of the season, it gives the Bears nine seasons in 18 years with at least 10 wins and the fourth in a row in six years under the Jobsons.
*Bri Campos' goal was the sixth of the season, and ninth of her career, doubling her total as a freshman last season (3). The game-winning goal was the second of the season and fourth of her career.
*Baylor has won back-to-back games for the second time this season since running off five straight wins to being the year, and first since beating Boise State on Sept. 22 and Oklahoma on Sept. 27.
*Baylor's 12th shutout of the season moves the Bears into second place on the program's all-time single season list, one shy of the 2012 team.
*Michelle Kloss' 10th shutout of the season moves her into a tie for first on the program's all-time single season list, one more than her career-best total of nine last season. Her 19th career shutout also moved her into sole possession of second place on the all-time Baylor list, eight shy of tying Dawn Greathouse's record.
*Baylor is now 11-4-3 in regular season finales and 4-0-2 under the Jobsons.
*Baylor is now 15-13-2 all-time in November and 6-2-2 under the Jobsons.
*Baylor is now a perfect 9-0-0 all-time against TCU.
