OCTOBER 4 I want to start off by thinking our fans, friends, and family for your continued support. We have been in a little slump lately and you all have continued to still with us and support us through it all. You are great and we are hoping for it to all turn around this weekend. We play Nebraska and Iowa. We worked hard today at practice and got some things fixed and things seem to be going in the right direction for us.
I have not written in a while; because, school has picked up and last week was full of tests for many others and myself. We started Big 12 Conference play two weekends ago with Kansas and Missouri. The plan was to have Kansas come here on Friday and we were going to go up the Missouri to play on Sunday. Because of the hurricane, we had to go to Kansas. Things started off rough for us because we only had an hour notice before we left for the airport. We got phone calls in class on Thursday saying we were leaving in an hour. Also, we have four players from the Houston area and they were upset about everything going on, so we had a lot against us going into the game on Friday night. We tried to play through everything but it did not go our way. We lost that game and we also lost the game against Missouri. We were ahead in the Missouri game and then they came back and beat us.
This past weekend we traveled to Austin to take on Texas on Friday night. We started the weekend off with a great dinner at an Italian restaurant downtown. It was a fun atmosphere and we enjoy ourselves there. We played Texas on Friday night and again came up with a loss.
We are putting these losses behind us a looking forward to this weekend and are excited about the two wins that we are going to try for at home. We do nott have much time left and we have to act now. We need to start putting some wins together so we can climb in the standings.
We look forward to seeing all our fans out there. Everyone come out and bring a friend and be loud!!!!! Thanks for all your support!
