The Baylor softball team (17-3) will begin a 10-game, nine day road trip Wednesday as it takes on Centenary (11-6 overall) at 5:00 p.m. in Shreveport, La. The trip will cover three states with six of 10 games coming against ranked opponents.

"This is one of the most difficult road trips I have ever scheduled," head coach Glenn Moore said. "I think that is exciting for the players in this program. We know what we are capable of doing, it's just a matter of going out there and playing the game we know how to play."

The Lady Bears are coming off a 7-0 week at home, and are on an 11-game winning streak after taking the QTI Invitational title. Brette Reagan and Alex Colyer have been on a tear offensively, as the pair of seniors are on a nine and six-game hitting streak, respectively. In the circle, Baylor is led by freshman Whitney Canion, who is 10-2 with a 1.03 ERA, striking out 117 batters in 81.1 innings.

Following Wednesday's game, Baylor will travel to Tuscaloosa, Ala., for the Easton SEC/Pac-10/Big 12 Challenge featuring, No. 4/1 Alabama, No. 1/3 Washington and No. 12/11 Georgia beginning on Friday. The Lady Bears will then take on Southern Miss on March 10, No. 22/19 LSU on March 11 and a doubleheader against Northwestern State on March 12 to finish the trip.
