No. 14 SB Faces Sam Houston State in Midweek Contest

WACO, Texas – No. 14/15 Baylor softball (25-5) faces Sam Houston State (12-14) in the final nonconference game before the conference opener series at Kansas, hosting the Bobkats on Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. at Getterman Stadium.

The Lady Bears welcome SHSU to Waco for the first time since April 22, 2015, when Baylor took a 1-0 win over the Bearkats.

Baylor leads the all-time series with Sam Houston State, 48-30, including a 25-12 advantage at Getterman Stadium.

The first RPI rankings of the 2017 season were released Tuesday, March 20, with the Lady Bears checking in at No. 5, the highest initial ranking in program history.
