OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Junior Brette Reagan and sophomore Nicole Wesley earned All-Big 12 first team selections, while sophomore Kirsten Shortridge garnered a second team nod, the Big 12 Conference announced Friday evening.
Reagan picked up her third-straight all-conference selection and second consecutive first team nod. The Tomball, Texas, native started each game at third and led the Lady Bears with a career high .385 average, while blasting 10 home runs and knocking in 36 RBI.
Wesley earned her first all-conference selection after batting .375 with 14 RBI and 14 stolen bases. The Baton Rouge, La., native stepped it up in conference play, leading the team with a .419 average.
Shortridge, last season's Big 12 Freshman of the Year, earns her second selection to the all-conference squad after picking up first-team honors last year. The Keller, Texas, native hit .354 on the year with 12 RBI, while swiping 24 bases.
The All-Big 12 honors are selected by the league's head coaches, who are not allowed to vote for their own players.
