Baylor will play host to the first round of the NCAA Softball Tournament for the first time since 2009

WACO, Texas – Sunday night, Baylor’s softball team was selected as one of 16 sites to play host to the first round of the NCAA Regional Softball tournament, and game times have been determined for the four-team double-elimination round. Tulsa (50-7) will take on Houston (32-21) Friday at 4:30 p.m. followed by Baylor (42-13) against Northwestern State (30-20) at 7 p.m.
The round of four will consist of two games Friday, three Saturday with two elimination games, and Sunday’s championship day, which consists of one game and an if-necessary game. The winner of Tulsa vs. Houston will play the winner of Baylor vs. Northwestern State Saturday at Noon.
From there, the losers of each of the first two games will play in an elimination game Saturday at 2:30 p.m. followed by the winner of the 2:30 p.m. game and the loser of Saturday’s Noon contest at 5 p.m.
Sunday the last two teams standing will play at 1 p.m. with the if-necessary game to follow at 3:30 p.m.
Baylor season ticket holders have until 5 p.m. today to claim their season-ticket seats before the general public partakes in sales Tuesday at 8 a.m. Fans can purchase an all-tournament pass with a chair-back seat for $36. Otherwise, general admission prices are $10 or $7 for students and are good for all games on that particular day. Interested parties can contact the Baylor ticket office at 254-710-1000.
