The Cardinal finished sixth in the Pac 12 Conference and enters ranked No. 16 with an RPI of 19. Hitting .322 as a team, Stanford is led by Hanna Winter's .420 averagem while Jenna Rich provides the power with 10 home runs and 62 RBI. In the circle, Teagan Gerhart (30-11, 2.77 ERA) leads a staff with a 3.14 ERA and has 190 strikeouts in 237.2 IP.
The Ragin Cajuns are the Sun Belt regular season champions and are ranked seventh overall and have an RPI of 12. Hitting .342 as a squad, Christi Orgeron is the nation's leader in RBI with 91 while also adding 21 home runs. In the circle, Jordan Wallace (25-1) and Ashley Brignac (21-3) split time and each garner a 2.08 ERA with 159 strikeouts.
SCOUTING MISSISSIPPI VALLEY STATE
The Delta Devilettes enter the NCAA's after winning the SWAC regular season with a 16-0 record then following with the tournament championship. Hitting .298 as a team, five MVSU players are hitting over .300. Alicia Lorenz is the squad's ace, going 19-8 with a 2.47 ERA and 169 strikeouts in 167.2 innings.

Last season's 7-3 mark in the NCAA Tournament moved Bay;or's all-time record in the NCAA Championship to 23-15.
SENIOR CLASS LOOKS TO MAKE HISTORY
With regional titles in 2009 (Waco) and and 2011 (College Park) this Baylor senior class will look to be the first class in history to win three regional titles.
FRESHMEN STEPPING UP IN CONFERNCE PLAY
Baylor has relied heavily on its freshmen to knock in runs during Big 12 play. Kaitlynn Thumann (9), Jordan Strickland (7) and Sarah Crockett (7) have accounted for 23 of the team's 53 RBI in conference. The trio has registered 44 percent of the RBI's despite making just 20 percent of the team's at bats.
THUMANN SPARKS OFFENSE
Thumann entered the starting lineup 11 games ago as a regular in right field on Saturday, April 21 at Texas Tech and has sparked the offense ever since. Since that time, the freshman is hitting .606 with one homer, eight runs nine RBI, a .727 slugging percentage, .556 on-base percentage and eight stolen bases.
The Lady Bears scored just 21 runs in their first 13 Big 12 games, but with Thumann leading the way, Baylor has scored 44 runs in the last 11 conference games
START FAST, FINISH STRONG
Baylor is 27-4 in games it scores first, and 6-16 when the opponent does. When the Lady Bears hold a lead after six innings, they are a perfect 28-0.
The Lady Bears have two of the top five base stealers in program history on the 2012 squad. Senior Kayce Walker enters the weekend fourth all-time with 82, while Shelton is fifth with 78, stealing successfully 93 percent of the time.
As a team, BU finished first in the Big 12 with 94 stolen bases.
Baylor is 5-12 against ranked foes this season. The Lady Bears knocked off then No. 18 Oregon (2-1) and No. 24 North Carolina (2-0) in the same day (3/2) before a 1-0 win over then No. 7 Oklahoma (3/25). The Lady Bears also added a 5-4 extra-inning win over No. 5 Texas (4/18) and an 8-4 victory at No. 24 Texas Tech (4/22).
HOMERS AWAY FROM HOME
Baylor plays in one of the toughest home run parks in the country, and this proves it. In Big 12 games since 2007 the Lady Bears have hit 46 of their 63 home runs (73 percent) away from Getterman Stadium.
WALKER HITS TOP 3
Kayce Walker moved into a tie for third with Chelsi Lake on Baylor's all-time hits list with 227 and is eight away from tying Harmony Schwethelm for second (235).
PITCHING STAFF HOLDING ITS OWN
BU entered the week ranked 24th nationally and hold a 1.88 ERA, with Paul and Repka leading with a 2.05 mark.
