After completing the most successful season in program history, the 2007 Baylor softball team will be honored during the first half of the Baylor/Texas football game on Saturday.
The Lady Bears wrapped up last season with a 51-16 overall record and captured their first Big 12 Conference Championship with a 14-3 league mark. After earning its fourth-straight trip to the NCAA Tournament, Baylor went on to win Regional and Super Regional titles en route to its first Women's College World Series appearance.
Individually, the Lady Bears placed two players on the Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division I All-America squad as Ashley Monceaux and senior Brette Reagan were selected to the third-team. Monceaux set new school single-season marks with a .413 batting average, 20 home runs and 71 RBI. In addition, Baylor landed five members of its squad on the All-Big 12 First Team and one on the Second Team.
