LAWRENCE, Kan. - Baylor women's tennis saw its five-match win streak come to an end in its Big 12 Conference opener at No. 15 Kansas, 4-1, at the Jayhawk Tennis Center on Monday.
The Jayhawks jumped ahead, 1-0, by winning the doubles point then added victories at No. 4 and No. 2 singles to extend its lead, 3-0.
Sophomore transfer Camilla Abbate put the Bears on the board with a win at No. 3 singles against Janet Koch in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2. She has won seven consecutive dual matches and is 10-3 on the season for Baylor.
Kansas secured the team result with a two-set win on court five.
