WACO, Texas - Baylor sophomore Nina Secerbegovic's bid for the Wilson/ITA Texas Regional singles title fell short on Tuesday against Texas' Aeriel Ellis at the Baylor Tennis Center.

Ellis controlled play in the first set on her way to a 6-1 set win. In the second set, Secerbegovic got out to a 3-2 lead, but Ellis responded, winning the next four games to take a 6-3 victory to close out the match.

Baylor's women's tennis team will stay at home for their next competition, hosting the Baylor Invitational on Oct. 30-Nov. 1.
