Singles Bracket

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Senior Lenka Broosova’s great run at the ITA Indoor National Championships ended on Saturday with a semifinal loss to second-seeded Irina Falconi.

Broosova, unseeded in the tournament, couldn’t get on track against Georgia Tech’s Falconi, winning just one game. Falconi took the first set 6-1, then blanked Broosova in the second set 6-0 to earn a finals berth.

Broosova, ranked No. 23 in the ITA preseason rankings, ended her fall season with a 7-4 record in singles play.

Baylor’s women’s tennis team will resume play in January in Las Vegas, Nev., with the UNLV Freeman Invitational from Jan. 15-17, 2010.
