The Bears will be in Waco for the weekend to continue their five-game home stand against #24 Arizona on Friday at 1:00 p.m., and continue play against Florida State on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Baylor Tennis Center.
On Saturday, Baylor lost the doubles point to Iowa State and then rebounded to sweep the singles competition in order to beat the Cyclones 6-1.
In doubles play, Vida Mulec and Izabela Mijic were paired up for the first time this season and earned the Bear's only win over Iowa State 8-2. The duo of Daria Potapova and Stephanie Balzert lost to Iowa State's Kristin Gyaki and Tara Goedjen 8-5. This snapped their three-game winning streak that dated back to Feb. 8 against Miami Fla. Alison Bradley and Barbora Blahutiakova were defeated in the No. 1 spot by Sabrina Evers and Suzanne Rutten 8-6.
In singles action, Daria Potapova extended her dominating win streak to four games, which includes only three losses in 39 games. Izabela Mijic extended her spring winning streak to six matches on Saturday by defeating Eve Soriano in straight sets 6-0, 6-1. Vida Mulec earned a strong win over Sabrina Evers 6-0, 7-6 in the No. 1 spot, and Alison Bradley earned her first singles win of the spring season over Charlotte Ljungkrantz 6-1, 6-3. Barbora Blahutiakova earned a win in the No. 5 spot against Iowa State's Elizabeth Chermel, and Stephanie Balzert rounded out the sweep with a win in the No. 3 spot 6-0, 6-3.
The Wildcats enter this weekend's match with a 2-3 record after two recent losses to Pac-10 foes USC 7-0, and UCLA 4-3. The Seminoles enter this weekends match at 6-3 on the season which includes two recent losses to Alabama 4-3 and state rival Florida 7-0.
The Bears' take on the Wildcats Fri., Feb. 28 at 1:30 p.m. and the Seminoles Sat., Mar. 1 at 10 a.m. at the Baylor Tennis Center. Results will be posted on baylorbears.com. Live internet updates will be posted for Sunday's match.

-Izabella Mijic is currently riding a six game win streak which is the longest for the season for any Lady Bear.
- Daria Potapova is currently riding a four game winning streak in which she has only lost three of 39 games.
