WACO, Texas - To continue its Big 12 Conference season, Baylor's 35th-ranked women's tennis team will hit the road to face Oklahoma at noon on Saturday in Norman, Okla., before taking on Oklahoma State at 1 p.m. on Sunday in Stillwater, Okla.

"Right now, with this team, we're struggling to focus on our practice, let alone our next opponent," head coach Joey Scrivano said. "We're already too distracted to be thinking about future opponents."

Most recently, Baylor (11-13, 4-1) completed a successful weekend of doubleheaders at home, earning two Big 12 victories against Kansas and Kansas State, as well as wins against Prairie View A&M and Stephen F. Austin.

The 19th-ranked tandem of Ema Burgic and Victoria Kisialeva is BU's most successful pairing, owning a 13-2 mark overall and a 4-1 Big 12 record.

On the singles side, the ninth-ranked Burgic has won 10 matches in a row in the top spot for BU and has a 14-5 record. Kiah Generette is also 10-8 in dual match play. Burgic and Generette are each 5-0 in conference action.

Oklahoma (12-6, 4-2) is coming off of a 7-0 sweep against West Virginia. Led by Hermon Brhane, who is 10-5 in the top spot, the team is 28-21 overall in singles action. In doubles, 20th-ranked Brhane and Whitney Ritchie lead the team with a 10-5 overall record. No. 82 Emma Devine and Mia Lancaster are also 5-0 on court 3 for OU.

Baylor leads the all-time series 16-3 vs. the Sooners. The last time these two teams met, BU came out with a 4-1 win on April 27, 2012 at the Big 12 Championship in College Station, Texas.

Oklahoma State (12-5, 4-2) will face TCU on Friday before taking on BU. In singles, the Cowgirls are 29-22 in the top three spots, with 72nd-ranked Malika Rose notching a 9-8 dual match record at the top of the lineup. On the doubles side, OSU is led by its duo of No. 37 Rose and Kanyapat Narattana with a 10-6 record on court 1.

Overall, Baylor is up 16-4 in the all-time series. During the last match vs. OSU, Baylor won a 6-1 contest on April 1, 2012 at the Hurd Tennis Center.

"We typically have tough matches with OU and OSU, and I wouldn't expect anything different this weekend," Scrivano said.

After the road swing, Baylor will host its final home match of the regular season against Texas at 5 p.m. on April 19 at the Hurd Tennis Center.
