WOMEN'S TENNIS FACES THREE-MATCH ROAD TRIP
The fifth-ranked Baylor women's tennis team hits the road for three-match weekend road trip as the Lady Bears face No. 28 TCU on Friday, Oklahoma on Saturday and Oklahoma State on Sunday. Baylor is coming off a 6-1 road win at No. 35 Texas A&M on Wednesday. The Lady Bears are in the middle of their busiest stretch of the season, playing six matches in 11 days. LAST TIME AGAINST TCU, OKLAHOMA, OKLAHOMA STATE
The Baylor women's tennis team captured a 6-1 victory against 33rd-ranked TCU in their home-opener at the Baylor Tennis Center. Singles were played first as the start of the match was moved up one half hour due to a possible threat of rain. Freshman Karolina Filipiak earned her sixth consecutive win with a straight-sets victory (6-3, 6-3) over TCU's Idunn Hertzberg at the No. 6 singles spot. Jana Bielikova earned Baylor's second point of the match with a 6-4, 6-3 win in No. 4 singles as she defeated the Horned Frogs' Kewa Nichols. TCU quickly battled back to earn a point at No. 3 singles, but the rest of the matches belonged to Baylor No. 18 Lenka Broosova, No. 24 Zuzana Zemenova and freshman Jelena Stanivuk won their third and deciding sets for the victory. Baylor and TCU split No. 1 and No. 3 doubles, placing point-pressure on Taylor Ormond and Stanivuk. The two came through for the Bears as Ormond and Stanivuk earned the point with an 8-6 victory.

Baylor swept all three doubles matches and won the top five singles matches as the sixth-ranked women's tennis team defeated Oklahoma 6-1 at the Baylor Tennis Center. Baylor started out the contest by sweeping all three doubles matches. No. 57 Taylor Ormond and Jelena Stanivuk defeated Christi Baxley and Maria Kalashnikova 8-4 on court two. Second-ranked Zuzana Zemenova and Lenka Broosova downed Ana Constantinescu and Chelsea Orr 8-4 at number one doubles. On court three, Zuzana Chmelarova and Jana Bielikova defeated Tara Eckel and Elena Antakova by an 8-6 score. No. 24 Zemenova opened singles play with a 6-2, 6-0 win over No. 89 Constantinescu on court one. Oklahoma earned its lone point at number six singles as Eckel defeated Natalie Holmes 6-2, 6-1. No. 13 Broosova won 6-4, 6-0 on court two over Orr, and Chmelarova defeated Baxley 6-3, 6-2 on court five to seal the win for the Lady Bears. No. 81 Bielikova downed Antakova 6-3, 6-2 on court five, and Stanivuk won in straight sets 6-4, 6-2 over Kalashnikova on court three.

Zuzana Zemenova won her singles match 6-0, 6-1 on Senior Day as the sixth-ranked Baylor women's tennis team defeated Oklahoma State 5-2. Baylor swept all three doubles matches to earn the doubles point and take an early 1-0 lead. On court three, Natalie Holmes and Jana Bielikova defeated Maryna Tkachenko and Jessica Collins 8-2. No. 57 Jelena Stanivuk and Taylor Ormond downed Sasha Belova and Jo-Anne Karaitiana 8-2 on court one to secure the doubles point for the Lady Bears. On court two Zemenova and Zuzana Chmelarova finished the sweep for Baylor with an 8-5 win over Iryna Tkachenko and Yawna Allen. Baylor got its second point on court four as Bielikova won after Belova retired due to injury, 6-1, 4-1 (ret.). Zemenova wasted no time in her match, winning the first set 6-0 over I. Tkachenko on court one. Zemenova then closed out her final home singles match with a 6-1 second-set victory. Chmelarova clinched the match for the Lady Bears at number five singles with a 6-1, 6-2 win over M. Tkachenko. Oklahoma State got on the board on court six as Collins downed Holmes in straight sets 6-1, 6-1. Stanivuk defeated Karaitiana on court three to give Baylor a 5-1 lead. On court two, Ormond dropped the first set to Allen, but rallied to win the second set 7-5. In the supertiebreak third set, Allen jumped out to a quick lead and held on to win 10-4.

LAST TIME OUT
Jelena Stanivuk helped clinch the doubles point and rolled through her singles match as the fifth-ranked Baylor women's tennis team defeated No. 35 Texas A&M, 6-1, at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center. Baylor opened doubles play as eighth-ranked Lenka Broosova and Csilla Borsanyi rolled over Texas A&M's Janelle Cuthbertson and Christi Liles, 8-2, on court one. On court three, A&M's Sheri Olivier and Elze Potgieter defeated Nina Secerbegovic and Kasia Siwosz, 8-3, to even the point. On court two, No. 64 Taylor Ormond and Jelena Stanivuk split the first four games with Texas A&M's Stephanie Davidson and Morgan Frank. After a Baylor break to give the Lady Bears a 3-2 lead, the two teams held serve the remainder of the match, with Stanivuk serving up an ace on match point to win, 8-6, and secure the doubles point. Baylor extended its lead to 3-0 within an hour of starting singles play. No. 44 Stanivuk rolled over Liles, 6-1, 6-0, on court three in 48 minutes, while Secerbegovic won 12 of the last 13 games to record a 6-3, 6-0 win over Santacroce on court six. Shortly after, Baylor clinched the match on court four as No. 64 Borsanyi dropped just two games en route to a 6-1, 6-1 win over Cuthbertson. Karolina Filipiak defeated Olivier, 6-4, 6-1, on court six to put Baylor up 5-0. On court one, No. 46 Ormond and Potgieter split the first two sets, forcing a third-set super tiebreaker. Potgieter jumped out to an early 4-1 lead, but Ormond scored seven of the next eight points to take an 8-5 lead. With Ormond leading 9-6, Potgieter won the next five points to win the match, 2-6, 6-0, 11-9. No. 31 Broosova rolled over Frank, 6-4, 6-2, on court two.
