WACO, Texas - The Baylor men's and women's tennis teams combined to place seven Bears in the latest national individual rankings, released Wednesday by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).
Three Baylor women remain in the singles rankings. Junior Katja Kovac moved up one spot to No. 33, but senior Jahnavi Parekh slipped 10 places to No. 37. Sophomore Vida Mulec stepped up three places to No. 83.
In doubles, Kovac and Parekh moved up 13 spots to No. 28 in the nation. The team boasts a 12-3 record on the year.
After losing six in a row, the men's doubles team of Reiner Neurohr and Mark Williams slipped to 27th in the nation, their second-lowest ranking of the year.

The Baylor men and women both begin play in the Big 12 Championships Friday afternoon. The women play Friday at 1:30 p.m. against the winner of Thursday's Nebraska-Iowa State match. The Baylor men follow at 4 p.m. against Colorado. Both matches will be played at the Baylor Tennis Center.
