WACO, Texas - In conjunction with hosting the first and second rounds of the NCAA Championships, the Baylor women's tennis team will hold two more free clinics for children 11 years and under on Friday and Saturday at the Hurd Tennis Center.
Both clinics will start one hour prior to the women's first and second round matches with Friday's clinic beginning at 6 p.m. and Saturday's session starting at 4 p.m.
The tennis instruction from Baylor players and staff is part of the Baylor Cub Tennis Program, which debuted during the regular season prior to home matches. All tennis equipment will be provided, but athletic clothing including tennis shoes are required.
Kids taking part in the clinic will receive free admission to the day's matches, but the parents accompanying them will need to pay a $5 NCAA entry fee.
Baylor University is home to the 2015 NCAA Tennis Championships. The final 16 men's and women's teams will descend on Waco in May 2015 for the event. Following the team competition, individual singles and doubles championships will also take place at the Hurd Tennis Center.
