The Baylor women's tennis team made a clean sweep of the 2008 All-Big 12 Tennis Awards, claiming the Player, Freshman, Newcomer and Coach of the Year honors.
Zuzana Zemenova is the first athlete in Big 12 history to win Player of the Year in four straight years in any sport. Baylor men's tennis player Benedikt Dorsch (2003-05) and
Taylor Ormond is the third BU women's player to win freshman recognition posting 26 wins in both singles and doubles play. She is currently ranked No. 43 in the nation. Her doubles partner Jelena Stanivuk claimed newcomer honors, finishing a combined 9-0 playing at positions No. 3-5. The award-winning duo tallied an 8-2 doubles mark in conference play.
Head coach Joey Scrivano led the Bears to a dominating 28-2 overall record and third undefeated Big 12 Conference record. The Baylor women captured their third straight conference title while losing only twice on the season to Stanford and Northwestern, both ranked No. 1 nationally at the time.

Baylor finished the conference tournament with a No. 5 national ranking after a 28-2 season. The Lady Bears' only two losses came to teams ranked No. 1, Stanford and Northwestern. The Wildcats finished the regular season ranked No. 1 in the ITA rankings. The Lady Bears have won 26 of their last 27 dual matches. Baylor rose to No. 2 in the ITA rankings, the highest ranking in program history, setting up a showdown with No. 1 Northwestern.

Baylor improved its all-time record to 15-9 in the Big 12 tournament to win its third-straight tournament title. Baylor earned 4-0 sweeps over Texas Tech and Colorado, before closing out No. 20 Texas 4-1 in the championship match.

For the third time in the last four years, Baylor finished the regular season with a perfect 11-0 record in Big 12 play. This season, Baylor tallied four 7-0 sweeps, and only allowed four opponents to collect two points in league action.

The Baylor women's tennis team held its spot at No. 3 in the nation in the latest rankings from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association released on Tuesday afternoon.
The Lady Bears, 25-2 overall and 11-0 in Big 12 action, equal their second-highest ranking in program history. Earlier this season Baylor reached as high as No. 2 in the ITA rankings for one week before suffering a loss to top-ranked Northwestern. The Lady Bears were also ranked third for the week prior to their move to the number two spot.
Baylor senior Zuzana Zemenova was named the Big 12 Women's Tennis Player of the Week the league announced on April 14. The award is the third weekly honor for Zemenova this season and a Big 12 record seventh accolade of her career.
Zemenova collected two singles victories and two doubles victories while giving up only three singles points for sixth-ranked Baylor last week.
With the two singles wins, Zemenova moves into second place in school history with 111 career victories. She also moves her career Big 12 record to 36-0 with all matches coming at No. 1 singles.
This marks the fourth week that a Baylor player has been named the Big 12 Player of the Week. Baylor swept the first three weekly awards, with Zemenova earning the honor during the first week of the dual match season. Taylor Ormond was named the player of the week on March 10, and Zemenova tallied her second award of the season on March 17.
