Women's Tennis Ends NCAA Championships Run

ATHENS, Ga. - The Baylor women's tennis pairing of Victoria Kisialeva and Blair Shankle were knocked out of the NCAA Doubles Championship quarterfinals with a straight-set loss at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex on Thursday.

The 35th-ranked BU tandem was unable to upset second-ranked Lauren Herring and Maho Kowase of Georgia. The Bulldog duo recorded a 6-3, 6-1 victory to advance to the NCAA semifinals.

The loss ends the Lady Bear tandem's season with a 21-6 record and 5-5 mark against ranked foes.

Baylor's 2013-14 season is now over both as a team and individually. The final ITA Team and Individual rankings will be released next week.
