Women's Tennis Earns All-Academic Team Honor

WACO, Texas – The Baylor women’s tennis team earned the All-Academic Team honor from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) as announced recently. The Bears were one of three Big 12 teams on the list, while BU’s Taylor Ormond also earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors.

To be eligible for the ITA All-Academic Team award a squad must have a team grade point average of 3.20 (on a 4.00 scale). The Bears posted a 3.40 GPA for the spring semester, an all-time high for the program.

Ormond was the lone Bear to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status. To be eligible a student-athlete must have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale).
