PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. - Baylor sophomore tennis player Jelena Stanivuk lost her third round match at the ITA/Riviera All-American tournament hosted at Pepperdine.
Stanivuk, who won two matches on Saturday, fell in the third round of the Pre-Qualifying Draw to Duke's Amanda Granson, 6-2. ,6-0. Karolina Filipiak won her first round match on Saturday before falling in the second round.
"Today was one of those character building days," said head coach Joey Scrivano. "Granson played well and we just didn't execute well."
The Lady Bears will continue play at the Riviera All-American this week as Csilla Borsanyi and Taylor Ormond open play in the Qualifying Draw. Borsanyi will face Janette Bejilova of South Florida, while Ormond takes on Sophie Kobuch from Hawaii.
