Csilla Borsanyi and Lenka Broosova advanced through the Main Consolation Doubles Draw at the ITA/Riviera All-American tournament on Friday. Sophomore Taylor Ormond fell in the women's qualifying singles consolation finals.
No. 18 Borsanyi and Broosova upset the 10th-ranked team of Aurelija Miseviciute and Ela Kaluder, 8-5. The pair will face Stanford on Saturday in the semifinals of the consolation round.
Taylor Ormond, who won four straight matches to advance to the qualifying draw consolation finals, dropped her final match 6-3, 6-1 to Maria Sanchez of Southern California.
In the women's main draw consolation, Broosova fell to Tara Iyer of Duke 6-4, 6-2.
