PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. - The No. 18 tennis doubles pair of Lenka Broosova and Csilla Borsanyi dropped their final match to No. 25 Notre Dame's Kelcy Tefft and Kali Krisik in the consolation finals of the women's doubles main draw at the ITA/Riviera All-American on Saturday.
The duo opened the day with an 8-3 win over the fifth-ranked Stanford team of Hilary Barte and Lindsay Burdette in the consolation semifinals.
"I really liked the way Lenka and Csilla played for most of the tournament," said head coach Joey Scrivano. "They played a smart match against Stanford but unfortunately couldn't keep it up in the finals. That Notre Dame team is very solid and without question one of the best in the nation. We look forward to playing them again at some point."
The Baylor women's tennis team returns to action on Oct. 10 at the Midland Invitational.
