COLUMBUS, Ohio -
Baylor women's tennis' Zuzana Cerna fell in the round of 16 at this weekend's Intercollegiate Tennis Association's National Indoor Championships hosted by Ohio State University. This year's event takes place Nov. 2-5, at the Racquet Club of Columbus, Ohio.
Cerna, ranked 14th nationally by the ITA, battled fourth-seeded Melanie Gloria from Fresno State. Gloria currently ranks 19th in the ITA polls. Cerna earned the first set win 6-4 but dropped the next two 6-4, 6-0 in route to being eliminated from the main draw.
The Indoor Championship wraps up Cerna's fall tennis schedule.
As for the rest of the women's tennis team, Bears are in Palm Springs, Calif., participating in the Palm Spring Doral Desert tournament. Results from that event will be made available at www.baylorbears.com.
